Course description
Update April 2025: Our Navigating the Journey: Relationships and Sexuality Education Programme aligns with the current New Zealand Curriciulum, and schools can continue to use it to deliver Relationships and Sexuality Education.
This 2.5 hour online course provides teachers and educators with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to effectively deliver Navigating the Journey to their students.
During this training, you will:
- Explore how to keep personal values separate from professional practice
- Increase your understanding of the purpose of Navigating the Journey and how to utilise the resource in a way that works for your students
- Increase your confidence to answer curious questions
- Reflect on your practice and identify actions to take to provide quality relationships and sexuality education to your students
This online training is delivered on Zoom and is interactive. It involves working in small groups in breakout rooms, and using tools such as virtual whiteboards. Each participant is required to have their own device, microphone and camera.
